Barbershop & Social Services mission is to cut away poverty, one haircut at time, by empowering African American men
and their children for successful careers, healthy lifestyles, and well-balanced relationships.

Is designed to help men prepare for their interview to enter or re-enter the workforce.

- Image consultation
- Pre-interview Counseling
Series offers weekly group workshops facilitated by Nehemiah project staff focusing on three main developmental categories:
- Job Search Techniques
- Financial Literacy
- Life-skills Development
Provides individualized counseling to help our clients navigate everyday barriers and challenges. Men are paired with expert mentors for six months and tackle specific tasks including, but not limited to:
- Resume & Job Search Techniques
- Credit & Debt Management
- Addressing Child-support Orders
- Engaging in Healthy Lifestyles
